Clinical Nurse Specialist – Community Mental Health
Permanent Full‐Time appointment up to 76 hours per fortnight.
Location: Carnarvon, Western Australia – part of the Mid‐west region.
Position Profile: Responsible for assessment, planning, case management and delivery of clinical mental health care to complex clients of the Mid‐west Region. Provide specialist clinical, consultant and educational services to clients, carers and primary health care providers. Acts as a clinical resource for other team members.
Qualifications & Experience
* Extensive experience as a Community Mental Health Nurse with demonstrated expert level skills in crisis intervention, assessment, treatment and case management of adults and seniors with complex mental disorders.
* Strong problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
* Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a multidisciplinary team and independently as a practitioner.
* Advanced knowledge and ability to initiate and manage interventions under the Mental Health Act 2014.
* Demonstrated skills in applying the National Standards for Mental Health Services at the organisational level and in clinical practice.
* Clinical leadership skills including provision of clinical supervision, line management and performance development with supervised staff.
* Evidence of a current Class C or C‐A driver's licence or other specialised licence class and ability to travel within the region as required including overnight stays.
