As the Design Draftsperson for Austal Defence Australia (ADA), you'll be responsible to provide and support the Design of a vessel from concept through to delivery, on time and on budget that satisfies the standards of Austal, the client and regulatory authorities.

What's Involved
* Produce accurate information and documentation, meeting all procedural and auditable requirements
* Ensure vessel design complies with relevant regulatory authorities, specifications and customer requirements
* Maintain a high attention to detail, minimising rework and ensuring consistency across deliverables.
* Manage and incorporate design inputs from third parties, including drawings, certifications, and manuals
* Monitor task schedules and deliverables to ensure deadlines are met without compromising quality.
* Provide technical support as required across design and production teams.
You'll Need
* Formal drafting qualifications or equivalent
* Proficient in drafting software, AutoCAD, Shipconstructor and Microsoft office
* Basic understanding of materials and their compatibility in a marine environment
* Skilled in 3D modelling
* Eligibility for a Defence Security Clearance
