Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Administrator to join our team in Mackay QLD. As an Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting day‐to‐day operations, ensuring processes run smoothly and efficiently. This is a fast‐paced position suited to someone who thrives on organisation, communication, and multitasking. This is a fixed term, Monday to Friday opportunity.

What you'll be doing
* Manage purchasing processes – raise and process purchase orders in line with business and site requirements.
* Track purchase orders – monitor open orders and proactively follow up outstanding items to avoid delays.
* Maintain cost control – support financial discipline by monitoring expenditure and purchasing compliance.
* Support invoice accuracy – assist with invoice matching and resolve purchase order discrepancies promptly.
* Provide administrative support – assist the purchasing function and operational leaders with day‐to‐day administration.
* Support reception and office operations – assist with reception duties and complete additional administrative tasks as required.
What you'll need
* Bring relevant administrative experience – demonstrate previous experience in administration or purchasing support, ideally within a mining or industrial environment.
* Maintain exceptional attention to detail – deliver a high level of data accuracy across purchasing and administrative tasks.
* Communicate effectively with stakeholders – apply strong communication skills and a customer‐focused approach in daily interactions.
* Manage competing priorities – organise workloads effectively and perform well in a fast‐paced operational environment.
* Use systems confidently – work competently with Microsoft Office and ERP systems, with purchasing system experience highly regarded.
* Demonstrate reliability and teamwork – take a proactive, dependable approach and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
