About The Role
The Justice Officer is an entry-level position to a career in corporate services in the Department's eight Regions, through which the compliance, enforcement and regulatory services are provided to the Victorian community.
- Provide a combination of reception and concierge functions, and administrative and business support services
- Outstanding opportunity: Ongoing role within Corrections Victoria at Melbourne Assessment Prison (MAP)
- VPS Grade 2: $60,295 - $77,430 plus superannuation
Responsibilities
- Providing high quality services and perform all functions pertaining to prisoner records, Individual Management File (IMF) registry and prison archives at MAP.
- Coordinating the preparation of all documentation relating to a prisoner's transfer, classification, release or court appearances and undertake operational processes associated with the prison's bails and discharges.
- Providing support and assistance in a range of other corporate functions at MAP.
About You
- Well-developed computer literacy with the ability of adapting to new systems and software with ease.
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, procedures, guidelines and regulations.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of the importance of maintaining accurate records and associated legal implications of documents handed down by courts.
