Job Opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled Pastry Chef to join our culinary team at the JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort & Spa. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for creating exquisite pastries, breads, and cakes that exceed our guests' expectations.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare and cook food in accordance with menu specifications and health and safety standards.
* Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including portioning, chopping, and storing.
* Monitor the quantity of food prepared and served, ensuring efficient use of resources.
* Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables, and wash and disinfect kitchen equipment and utensils.
* Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery during busy periods.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a similar environment is highly desirable.
* Trade qualification or equivalent in pastry arts is essential.
* Strong knowledge of food safety principles and practices.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* A passion for food and a desire to grow your culinary career.
