About the Role
The Intake Clinician works under the guidance of Team Leaders, Managers, and the Community Clinical Director. The role collaborates closely with the Intake Registrar, partner Intake and Assessment Clinician, and multidisciplinary teams across the Mental Health Service to coordinate referrals and assessments.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Manage Intake and Assessment position duties in collaboration with the partner Intake and Assessment clinician.
* Collate, analyse, and review referral information from internal and external sources, proactively obtaining additional information where required.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records by reviewing and updating referrals and assessments using relevant systems, including CMI, PAS, MRO, and SharePoint.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 5 years post‐qualification clinical experience within Mental Health for Social Work (SW), Occupational Therapy (OT), and Registered Practical Nursing (RPN).
* Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (all disciplines except Social Work).
* Relevant postgraduate qualification in mental health for nursing staff or occupational therapists.
* For Occupational Therapists: Registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
* For Social Workers: Approved degree in Social Work (by the AASW) and eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
* Current Victorian driver's licence.
* Valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check, or willingness to obtain one.

* Classification: RPN Grade 4 NP75 – NP77 ($121,274 – $130,603 per annum pro rata).
