Job Overview
Our client is a well‐established water company providing a range of water treatment and HVAC services across the UK. They seek an experienced, knowledgeable and committed Commissioning Engineer based in and around the Ipswich area. The successful candidate will have experience carrying out commissioning duties such as validating and balancing air and water systems on a variety of contract types. Applications from Colchester, Felixstowe, Stowmarket, Sudbury and surrounding areas will be considered.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience inspecting and balancing air and water systems.
* Experience carrying out validations on air and water systems.
* Previous experience working on critical ventilation systems (essential).
* Ability to analyse schematic drawings and survey reports to commission systems correctly.
* Strong background in water treatment, chemical, technical and maintenance.
* Full familiarity with health and safety and compliance legislation, specifically HTM‐0301 guidelines.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Competent in using the Microsoft Office package.
* Good working knowledge of the water industry (essential).
* Experience working in a water treatment commissioning role within the water treatment industry (essential).
Duties Within the Role
* Carry out commissioning duties on air and water systems, including balancing, inspection and validations.
* Calibrate equipment to accurately balance water systems.
* Ensure compliance with relevant Health & Safety legislation and company standards.
* Carry out service work strictly in‐keeping with client specifications.
* Involve in staff training as required.
* Inspect project installs when required.
* Produce reports and prepare quotations.
* Undertake some water treatment duties to suit business needs.
* Maintain a professional working relationship with the company's clients.
