The Role

* Continuing, Full Time
* Level 5 - $81,999 to $89,521 pa (plus 17% superannuation)
* Orange

This Technical Officer position involves providing specialised laboratory and technical support across the Faculty of Science and Health, with a focus on microbiology, anatomy, and physiology. The role includes assisting in the design, preparation, and delivery of practical classes to meet curriculum standards in both academic and clinical settings.

Responsibilities also extend to maintaining equipment, coordinating class setups, and supporting teaching and research activities across multiple schools and campuses within the faculty. It's a collaborative and impactful opportunity to contribute to education and research excellence.


To be successful you will have:

* Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in operating and maintaining equipment associated with microbiology, anatomy and physiology.
* Experience in preparing risk assessments and safe work procedures, and proven ability in the safe use, handling and disposal of hazardous substances and dangerous goods.
* Strong capacity to maintain accuracy, meet deadlines and follow instructions and procedures.
* Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* A relevant degree in health-based science or related discipline, or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through other combination of education, training and/or experience.
