This is a permanent part‐time (0.32 FTE) position commencing Term 3, 2026.
The Role
The Assistant Gardener – Handyperson provides gardening, grounds, and facility management support to maintain a safe and clean school environment. Responsibilities include:
* Maintaining and presenting the school grounds and gardens in an attractive, clean, and tidy condition.
* Providing suitable growing environments for both soft and hard landscaping, including turf management.
* Performing minor repairs and maintenance as requested.
* Carrying out other Gardener – Handyperson duties in accordance with Department policies and guidelines.
The successful applicant should possess effective communication skills to develop and maintain good working relationships with school staff and external stakeholders, and a sound knowledge of safe work practices.
