Are you a recruiter with agency experience who enjoys the sales side of recruitment?

This is a full-time Recruitment Consultant role with a high-performance recruitment agency in Melbourne's eastern suburbs. It suits someone who is confident on the phone, enjoys business development, and wants access to better tools, better systems and a more innovative way of recruiting. Recruitment with UK agency experience and valid Australian work rights are encouraged to apply.

The Role

* This is a hands-on agency recruitment role covering candidates, clients, sales calls, job briefs and placements.
* You will be supported by experienced recruiters, structured sales training, leading-edge recruitment software and AI-enabled tools designed to improve sourcing, candidate matching, employer targeting, follow-up and overall desk performance.
* This role suits someone who wants to speak with hiring managers, pitch candidates, qualify roles, develop client relationships and build a successful recruitment desk using both strong sales habits and modern recruitment technology.

What You'll Do

* Make outbound business development calls to employers and hiring managers.
* Pitch suitable candidates to clients and secure new job briefs.
* Screen, interview and shortlist candidates.
* Submit candidates to clients and follow up on previous submissions.
* Negotiate terms with hiring managers.
* Maintain accurate records in the CRM.
* Use AI-supported recruitment tools to help identify candidates, improve employer targeting and manage recruitment activity.
* Take part in daily team huddles, progress check-ins and sales training.
* Work toward clear activity targets, submissions, client meetings and placement outcomes.
* Build your own candidate and client pipeline.

What You Need to Succeed

* Previous agency recruitment experience
* UK agency recruitment experience will be viewed favourably.
* Confident phone manner with clients and candidates.

* Basic computer and typing skills. Ability to use CRM, sourcing tools and AI-supported recruitment software.
* A competitive, resilient and coachable attitude.
* Valid Australian work rights, including a valid working holiday visa where applicable.
* Able to work full-time from Melbourne's eastern suburbs.
* Salary and commission will be discussed based on experience.
