Sales Assistant Opportunity Available in a Fast-Paced Retail Environment
This role requires a well-rounded individual with a passion for retail to work on a roster from Monday to Saturday. The successful candidate will possess quick thinking and adaptability, staying current with trends and understanding the evolving needs of customers.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Sales, service, and promotion of products and services
* Completing magazine and paper returns
* Checking in stock
* Sorting, assessing, and processing mail
* Processing Post BillPay, Western Union, and other Australia Post services
* Handling cash, credit, and return transactions
* Daily operations including opening and closing the store
* End-of-day balancing
* Back-of-house procedures
* Maintaining and controlling retail stock
* Maintaining shop displays and housekeeping
Requirements:
* Previous retail experience is preferred but not essential
* Experience in newsagency, LPO/Post Office, or banking is also preferred but not essential
* Efficient and accurate money handling skills
* Ability to work under pressure
* Teamwork and independence
* High attention to detail
* Reliability and flexibility within a Monday to Saturday, 8am-6pm roster
* Willingness to undergo a Police Check (mandatory)
* Completion of Golden Casket and online post office training prior to starting
