Job Overview
We are seeking to appoint a suitably experienced Asphalt Supervisor to join our Infrastructure Services business based in Townsville. You will report directly to the Department Manager and work closely with the Project Management team.
Responsibilities
* Ensure crew work outputs exceed client expectations, are well planned and highly productive.
* Liaise with contracting, subcontractors, and clients so that programmed works can be planned well in advance.
* Plan for the proposed works on a job-by-job basis ensuring the works, safety, traffic control, quality assurance, testing, milling, line marking, and mobile equipment needs and agreed outputs are understood by all crew team members and sub-contractors.
* Supervise crew and site to ensure key responsibilities are met.
* Report and monitor workplace hazards, risks, issues, and incidents.
* Contribute to development of SWMS, attend toolbox and daily prestart meetings where required.
Qualifications
* Experience supervising Asphalt crews with proven commitment to team management and site safety.
* Ability to understand what is required, set the direction and communicate the plan day to day to the crew.
* Ability to work within tight deadlines and a drive to build, create and produce outputs to high standards.
* Highly organised, possess strong communication skills and be able to influence a team.
* Computer literacy and ability to read basic contract terms and standard industry specifications and quality system's needs. Appropriate training and support will be given.
* Ability to work nights and weekends as required and hold a valid Drivers' Licence.
