The Role
As a Mainstream Education Assistant, you will assist in the delivery of planned education programs that help in the development of young minds. In this role, you will collaborate and work in a team environment, support the implementation of individual or small group programs, and contribute to the overall health and well‐being of students. You will work under teacher direction to create an inclusive and safe learning environment, manage student behaviour in accordance with school policies, and maintain the learning space.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the delivery of scheduled education programmes for students.
* Support the implementation of individual or small group learning activities.
* Provide support to ensure the learning environment is inclusive, safe, and conducive to learning.
* Manage student behaviour in line with school policies and procedures.
* Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous professional development.
Eligibility
To work with us you must:
* Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or hold a visa with relevant work rights for the duration of the appointment.
* Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start.
* Consent to and obtain a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
