One of our long‐term manufacturing partners is seeking a hands‐on Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance, reliability, and plant performance across a busy production site in Adelaide.
This is a rare opportunity to join a stable and growing business where you'll have genuine influence across operations, reliability, continuous improvement, and team leadership.
The business has built a strong reputation within the manufacturing sector and is looking for someone who is ready to step up, take ownership, and grow with the company long term.
This role is perfectly suited to someone who has already had some leadership exposure, perhaps as a Maintenance Supervisor, Leading Hand, Reliability Engineer, Senior Fitter, or Maintenance Planner, and is now ready to take ownership of a site maintenance function.
You do not need to come from a huge corporate environment or have decades of management experience. This role is about finding someone technically strong, proactive, organised, and hungry to grow.
The Opportunity
You'll be responsible for driving preventative maintenance, improving reliability, reducing downtime, and helping build a stronger maintenance culture across the site.
This is a highly visible role where you'll work closely with production, contractors, and leadership teams to improve plant performance and keep operations running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead all maintenance planning and scheduling activities across the site
* Develop preventative and predictive maintenance programs
* Coordinate shutdowns and major maintenance works
* Lead breakdown response and drive root cause analysis
* Improve machine reliability, uptime, and overall asset performance
* Support production teams with fault finding and technical problem solving
* Manage contractors, maintenance suppliers, and service providers
* Oversee maintenance stores and critical spare parts inventory
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the plant
* Maintain CMMS systems, reporting, and maintenance KPIs
* Ensure all maintenance activities meet WHS and safety compliance standards

This role would suit someone ready to take the next step into a broader leadership position.
You may currently be:

* Leadership potential with the ability to coordinate teams and contractors
* A proactive and continuous improvement mindset
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Trade qualifications are highly regarded but not essential.
* Experience within packaging, printing, converting, extrusion, FMCG, or industrial manufacturing will be highly regarded.
Why Join?
* Genuine opportunity to step into a Maintenance Manager role
* Hands‐on leadership position with real influence onsite
* Stable manufacturing environment with ongoing investment
* Opportunity to make a visible impact on reliability and performance
* Supportive team environment with long‐term growth potential
