We are seeking a commercially focused Category Sales Manager to drive the execution of sales strategy within our Convenience category. This role is responsible for delivering sales performance, managing customer relationships, and ensuring alignment between demand planning and supply to achieve volume, revenue, and net gross profit targets.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver category sales plans, ensuring achievement of volume, revenue, and net gross profit targets
* Develop, maintain, and refine accurate sales forecasts and volume projections in alignment with supply planning
* Monitor and analyse sales and profitability performance, identifying opportunities to improve outcomes
* Drive sales growth through effective product mix, pricing strategies, and identification of new product opportunities
* Partner with Category and Marketing teams to execute promotional plans and evaluate campaign effectiveness
* Build and manage strong customer relationships, developing tailored customer plans to meet current and future needs
* Manage pricing to maximise returns, including advising on retail price points and optimising net gross profit
* Maintain effective communication with growers and suppliers regarding volumes, quality, and pricing outcomes
* Collaborate cross‐functionally, ensuring clear and timely communication of sales performance, risks, and opportunities
Desired Skills and Experience
* Tertiary qualifications in Agriculture, Horticulture, Business, or a related field
* 3–5 years' experience in sales and/or supply within fresh produce, agriculture, FMCG, or a related industry
* Strong commercial acumen with experience in forecasting, pricing, and margin optimisation
* Well‐developed analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive insights
* Proven ability to build and manage strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
* Ability to thrive in a fast‐paced, dynamic, and seasonal environment
