About the Opportunity
We're looking for a Category Manager – Pantry, Non Food & Directs to drive performance across our store network and support the continued growth of our business.
This role is a unique opportunity to combine hands‐on retail understanding with strategic category leadership, ensuring our general merchandise offer delivers strong sales, margin, and relevance at a store level.
You'll play a key role in shaping range, pricing, promotions, and seasonal programs, working closely with suppliers and stores to ensure execution is practical, commercial, and delivers results.
In This Role, You Will
Own and drive performance across categories within Pantry, Non Food and Directs.
Develop and execute seasonal programs aligned to customer demand and store capability.
Manage pricing, margin, clearance, and promotional strategy.
Build strong supplier partnerships to deliver value, innovation, and exclusive deals.
Manage end‐to‐end critical path from sourcing through to in‐store execution.
Work closely with store teams to ensure programs are simple, executable, and profitable.
Analyse category performance and identify opportunities to improve range and profitability.
What We're Looking For
Strong experience in retail, buying, or category management (supermarket or FMCG preferred).
Deep understanding of store operations and what drives in‐store performance.
Proven ability to manage pricing strategies, promotions, and margin outcomes.
Experience working with suppliers and negotiating commercial terms.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple programs and timelines.
Commercial mindset with the ability to balance customer value and profitability.
Excellent communication skills and ability to influence both suppliers and store teams.
