Senior Control Systems Engineer – Saunders Automation Perth
About the Role
You’ll provide industrial control system support (remote and onsite) and contribute to full project delivery from concept and detailed design through to FAT, SAT, commissioning and client handover. Work spans a range of industries with mostly office-based and local site work.
What You’ll Do
* Design, develop and program control systems across PLC, HMI and SCADA platforms (Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider Electric, Emerson and others)
* Deliver functional design specs, control philosophy documentation and OT network design
* Execute FAT, SAT and commissioning plans
* Provide technical support and mentoring to the wider team
* Manage work to Australian Standards and company procedures
What You’ll Bring
* Essential:
* Tertiary qualification in Engineering
* Demonstrated hands-on experience with industrial control systems programming
* White/Blue Card (Construction WHS Induction)
* Strong problem-solving skills and a self-starter attitude
* Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel occasionally
* Desirable: experience with industrial networking, cybersecurity, or HMI/SCADA platforms such as Ignition, Citect, WinCC or FactoryTalk
