Key Role: Development Fitter
About the Job
This is a full-time permanent role with an even-time 7/7 rostered position. As part of our team, you will report to the Shift Supervisor and development mechanical co-ordinator.
Your primary responsibility will be to provide mechanical support to the Development areas of the Oaky North Underground Mine. You will participate in safety awareness in the workplace and assist in daily and weekly inspections of underground plant and equipment.
Specific Key Accountabilities include:
* Participating, communicating and encouraging safety awareness in the workplace
* Assisting in the daily and weekly inspections of underground plant and equipment
* Maintaining and appropriately authorising relevant statutory documentation
* Completing preventative and breakdown maintenance duties
About You
We are looking for someone with the relevant fitter trade qualifications (mandatory), underground mining experience (mandatory) and 1-2 year in a similar position. Experience on Komatsu equipment is highly regarded but not essential.
You should have a genuine commitment to safety and demonstrated ability to operate in an environmentally responsible manner.
