Allied Pumps is seeking a Mechanical and Electrical Service Technician to join our growing Kalgoorlie team, supporting the commissioning, servicing, and installation of specialised pumping systems across the Goldfields region.
About the Role
Reporting to the
Branch Manager – Kalgoorlie
, you will:
* Perform diagnostics, maintenance, repairs, and rebuilds on a wide range of pumping systems—mechanical and/or electrical, ensuring reliability, safety, and minimal downtime.
* Conduct on-site pump audits and condition assessments, capturing key performance data (flow, pressure, electrical load, etc.), identifying inefficiencies, and recommending improvements.
* Deliver scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance, fault finding, and breakdown support across Allied Pumps equipment and third-party systems where required.
* Assist with project installations and commissioning, including pre-starts, functional testing, documentation, and client handover/training.
* Work collaboratively with internal teams and licensed trades while maintaining strict safety and compliance standards.
* Participate in after-hours and overtime work as required.

What We're Looking For
We are looking for candidates with mechanical and / or electrical trade qualifications, and a proven ability to work safely and efficiently in the field.
Essential:
* Relevant trade qualification (mechanical fitter or licensed electrician)
* White Card (Construction Induction)
* Sound understanding of HSE practices and safe work procedures
* Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and fault-finding skills
* Ability to interpret technical documentation and schematics
* Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and client interaction
* Organisational skills and ability to manage priorities
* Basic computer skills (MS Office – Word, Outlook, Excel)
Desirable:
* Experience with pumps, control panels, or industrial water systems
* Mine site or remote service work experience
* High Risk Work Licences (e.g., Forklift, EWP) or confined space/working at heights tickets
