Overview
IQ Construction is seeking a reliable and motivated Trades Assistant to join our growing team. Working across a variety of commercial and residential projects, you will assist our Maintenance Technician with repairs, installations, maintenance works, and general construction activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the Maintenance Technician with commercial and residential maintenance works.
* Site support duties as requested.
* Basic carpentry, repairs, and installation tasks.
* Loading, unloading, and transporting materials and equipment.
* Site clean-up and housekeeping.
* Use and maintenance of hand and power tools.
* Assisting with property repairs, renovations, and construction projects.
* Following workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
* Communicating effectively with team members, subcontractors, and clients.
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in construction, maintenance, or a trades assistant role preferred.
* White Card (essential).
* Current Driver\'s Licence and reliable transport (essential).
* Ability to use basic hand and power tools.
* Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
* Physically fit and capable of manual labour.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
