About Our School
Croydon State School is a small school situated in the Gulf of Carpentaria, 150km west of Georgetown and 150km east of Normanton. Croydon has a rich history, once being a gold mining town. The well preserved buildings along the main street are reminders of this bygone era. The traditional owners of the land, in and around Croydon, are the Tagalaka people.
