In this role, the Accounts Assistant is responsible for maintaining financial records of the business, providing information to management and for financial support to all parts of the business, promoting a culture of compliance and strong controls.

Essential Skills & Qualifications
1. Experience in all aspects of an Accounts Assistant role including month‐end procedures, AR, AP and bank reconciliation
2. Must have exceptional attention to detail and strong numeracy skills.
3. The ability to work both in a team environment and autonomously.
4. Strong communication & organisational skills
5. Able to maintain confidentiality where required
6. Proficiency in use of accounting software (full training will be given in NetSuite)
Duties & Responsibilities
7. Reviewing financial information, processes and controls with aim of maintaining accuracy of general ledger
8. Recording of daily EFTPOS/banking transactions and assisting in bank reconciliations
9. Processing payments to a range of equipment suppliers and service providers
10. Calculating end‐of‐month vendor payments, reconciling to supplier statement and submitting for approval
11. Preparing and posting of monthly transactions and month‐end journals and adjustments covering purchases/payment, sundry expenses, unallocated receipts, balance sheet provisions and accruals
