Primary objective
Responsible for providing a quality professional administrative support service for the Cyber Resilience and Cyber Security teams, including
maintaining whole of agency registers, project coordination and secretarial functions.
Context statement
The Department of Corporate and Digital Development manages digital systems on behalf of NT Government agencies. The position operates
within a small team supporting cyber security related projects and governance administration, as well as providing administration support to the
Directors and staff across the Cyber Resilience and Cyber Security units.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Provide secretarial and administrative support services to the Directors and team members including assisting with preparation and
coordination of high-level documentation, procurement and general correspondence.
2. Liaise effectively with all staff within the unit, the Department, external agencies and organisations to assist in the smooth day-to-day
operations.
3. Manage the administration of Background Checks and associated registers, including business processes and point of contact support for
agency digital services teams.
4. Develop, implement and coordinate office procedures and business systems and monitor all aspects of the unit's record management system,
including maintaining procedure manuals and generating reports.
5. Contribute to Cyber Security and Resilience projects that support the delivery of services and activities to meet required standards and
legislative requirements, including coordinating and documenting meetings, project reporting and leading small projects.
6. Support a culture of achievement and continuous improvement through constructive practices with a focus on improving the
effectiveness and efficiency of services with a high level of professionalism, innovation and client focus.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Proven experience in a secretarial and administration support role or equivalent, demonstrating strong working knowledge of general office
procedures.
2. Previous experience in project coordination requiring tracking, reporting and collaboration on multiple projects simultaneously.
1. Demonstrated ability to quickly develop an understanding of the range of technical terminology and language associated with the ICT and
Cyber Security environment.
1. High level verbal and written communication skills for effective and professional communication and demonstrated competence in research
and analysis, and preparing and maintaining documentation with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
1. Well-developed organisational and problem-solving skills, capability to manage small projects and work with limited supervision with initiative,
with proven experience working under pressure, prioritising and meeting deadlines.
1. Strong experience in using software packages including MS Office Suite, with ability to quickly acquire skills in other software packages.
2. Demonstrated work ethic and attitude which emulates DCDD values of being professional, accountable, honest, respectful, and innovative.
Desirable
1. Formal Qualification (or working towards) in ICT, Business, Project Management or other relevant qualification.
