Overview
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Mercer Super team as Head of Advice. The role will be based in Sydney and is hybrid, requiring at least three days a week in the office.
Responsibilities
* Lead the development and annual review of the advice strategy aligned with Mercer Super's strategy
* Oversee and optimise intrafund advice provision and adviser service experience
* Drive initiatives to support member confidence, retention, growth, and better outcomes through advice services
* Manage supplier relationships, service levels, reporting, risks, and controls related to advice functions
* Monitor and manage metrics relating to advice initiatives and advice proposition on member outcomes
* Ensure risk and control frameworks comply with regulations, while optimising the advice service proposition and experience
* Oversee projects and delivery related to advice strategy, including regulatory, product or experience changes
* Represent Mercer Super at external conferences and events to promote the advice proposition and enhance collaboration across the broader Marsh business
Qualifications
* Relevant undergraduate qualification essential; postgraduate and/or professional qualification highly desirable
* RG146 compliance mandatory
* At least 10 years of relevant industry experience, including managing intrafund advice businesses and teams
* Experience managing external financial advisers and licensees, including representation on Approved Product Lists (APLs)
* Strong knowledge of super fund and super fund advice operations, flows, retention, and growth drivers
* Senior stakeholder management experience, including Executive, Board and regulators
