UGL's Energy & Industrial national business unit is experiencing rapid growth, and we need motivated and capable people to join our team. UGL's in‐house engineering and design capability, together with our strong project delivery and operations and maintenance expertise, puts us in a strong position in the market. Our target project opportunities include Solar, Battery Energy Storage Systems, and Wind Projects, as well as Hydrogen and Ammonia projects.
As an Electrical Supervisor, you will be the frontline leader coordinating site‐based electrical activities and managing subcontractor performance to ensure project milestones are met.
Responsibilities
Supervise day‐to‐day electrical construction activities, ensuring work is delivered safely and to specification.
Lead and coordinate subcontractors, monitoring progress, resolving issues, and ensuring alignment with project schedules.
Conduct site inspections, review method statements, and maintain full compliance with QA and HSSE requirements.
Organise resourcing to meet project plans, including oversight of trade staff and apprentices.
Run daily pre‐starts and toolbox talks, fostering a safe, collaborative, high‐performing team environment.
Maintain accurate records including timesheets, progress updates, and subcontractor claims.
Promote a strong safety culture by identifying hazards, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring relevant permits are in place.
Collaborate with project stakeholders to support seamless delivery across all electrical scopes.
Qualifications
* Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical construction, ideally within infrastructure or energy projects.
* Electrical License (Highly desirable)
* Electrical Nominee (Highly desirable)
* Experience working on renewables and/or substation projects, with an understanding of the unique safety, quality, and technical requirements associated with these environments. (Desirable)
* Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and work with multiple stakeholders.
* Proven ability to manage teams, subcontractors, and competing priorities in a fast‐paced project environment.
* High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality outcomes.
* Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
