Position:
Braemar is seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Technology teacher. At our college, we foster a culture where equity, excellence, and personalised learning are at the heart of everything we do.
* This position is full-time and ongoing.
* Commencing 23 January 2026.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will:
* Maintain high standards of learning & teaching, assessment and reporting.
* Continuously refine teaching strategies and activities using student feedback and assessment data to improve lesson plans and delivery.
* Demonstrate knowledge of the Design and Digital Technology curriculum through to VCE.
* Potential subjects included in allotment: VCE Applied Computing – Software Development, Cyber Security and Networking, Game Programming and Digital Technologies.
* Demonstrate a strong sense of teamwork and collegiality and plan collaboratively with teaching teams.
* Contribute to Professional Learning Teams.
* Have excellent knowledge of contemporary approaches to teaching, including proficiency in utilisation and integration of technology within the classroom.
* Set high expectations to create a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom culture, fostering creativity and problem‐solving.
* Model and live the Braemar College values and behaviours.
About You:
It is expected that you will:
* Have an enthusiastic approach to the education of young people, including a focus on developing skills and underpinning knowledge.
* Design and deliver learning experiences that combine theory and practice for concepts including robotics, drones, coding, new and emerging technology and much more.
* Have a tertiary teaching qualification that enables you to teach Technologies.
* Show a willingness and capacity to contribute to the wellbeing of students.
* Display innovation in curriculum and collaborative learning approaches.
* Be a current VIT registered teacher.
* Have an understanding of and commitment to the ethos of independent schooling, and be willing to contribute to college events and adhere to the college's 'Child Safety Policy'.
