About The Opportunity
This is a key senior finance leadership opportunity for an experienced FP&A professional to join Carinity as the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager. Reporting to the Executive Manager, Finance & Administration, you will lead the organisation's financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and commercial partnering functions across multiple service divisions.
Leading a team of Finance Business Partners and an FP&A Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting strategic decision-making through high-quality financial insights, forecasting, modelling, and business performance analysis. This role combines commercial thinking, leadership, systems ownership, and stakeholder partnering within a complex and purpose-driven organisation.
Your Day-to-day Will Involve
* Leading organisation-wide budgeting, rolling forecasts, and financial planning processes
* Preparing financial models, scenario analysis, and business case evaluations to support strategic initiatives
* Producing performance reporting, variance analysis, and financial insights for executive leadership and the Board
* Partnering with operational leaders to provide commercial advice and identify financial risks and opportunities
* Managing and developing the Workday Adaptive Planning system and related financial integrations
* Supporting and developing Finance Business Partners and the FP&A Analyst to build commercial capability
* Coordinating KPI reporting and performance management frameworks across service divisions
* Driving continuous improvement initiatives across financial systems, reporting, and planning processes
* Supporting strategic projects and organisational growth initiatives through financial analysis and advisory support
About You
You are a commercially minded finance leader who enjoys partnering with operational stakeholders to drive informed decision-making and business performance. You bring strong experience in financial planning, forecasting, modelling, and analysis, with the ability to translate complex financial information into practical commercial insights.
You are highly analytical, strategic, and solutions-focused, with excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage effectively with senior leaders and non-finance stakeholders. You thrive in a collaborative environment, enjoy developing high-performing teams, and are passionate about continuous improvement, systems optimisation, and supporting organisational success. Experience within aged care, health, retirement living, or the not-for-profit sector will be highly regarded.
You Will Bring
* Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline
* CA or CPA designation
* Significant experience in senior FP&A, commercial finance or financial analysis roles
* Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and scenario planning
* Proven experience partnering with operational leaders to provide commercial insights and advice
* Experience leading and developing finance teams
* Strong systems capability including financial planning and enterprise accounting systems
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
* Highly developed communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills
Desirable
* Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning and TechnologyOne
* Exposure to aged care, retirement living, health or not-for-profit sectors
* Knowledge of aged care funding models and reporting requirements
* Experience with systems integration, automation or finance transformation initiatives
* Experience preparing three-way forecasts within a multi-entity environment
