About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Draftsperson and Estimator to join our team at our fabrication workshop in Rockhampton. As a key member of our workshop team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality equipment items to mine operators.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop structural steel weldments and sheet metal products using technical drawing programs and 3D modelling software.
* Estimate costs for all facets of steel work, including mining, civil, and structural steel projects.
* Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient project delivery and meet customer requirements.
* Develop solutions to problems that arise in day-to-day operations, applying creative thinking and engineering skills.
Requirements
* Cert III in Engineering and Drafting or equivalent qualification.
* Proficient with technical drawing programs and 3D modelling software, such as AutoCAD or Inventor.
* Relevant mechanical design drafting experience in a workshop environment.
* Familiarity with Australian Standards for Structural Steel, Handrails, and Access Platforms.
