Campbell Property Group (CPG), one of Australia's leading residential construction and property development companies, is looking for an experienced Construction Area Manager.
What you will do?
You will be responsible for overseeing and managing the construction of contract homes, ensuring that projects are delivered efficiently, on time, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves coordinating resources, supervising construction teams, ensuring compliance with Australian building standards, council regulations, and company policies, managing costs, minimising margin erosion, and enhancing customer satisfaction by addressing concerns and delivering a seamless construction experience.
Day To Day You Will
* Oversee and ensure the timely, cost-effective, and high-quality completion of homes, aligning with company and display home standards.
* Monitor construction progress, identify risks, and proactively implement corrective actions to meet agreed timelines and targets.
* Ensure compliance with Australian building legislation, council regulations, and product specifications.
* Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., design, estimating, customer service) to streamline construction workflows and resolve bottlenecks.
* Ensure performance accountability through regular one-on-one meetings, structured coaching plans, and performance reviews.
* Foster a culture of teamwork, ownership, and problem‐solving, ensuring Construction Supervisors are equipped to handle challenges effectively.
* Engage with clients at key stages of the construction process, proactively managing concerns and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
* Investigate and resolve escalated customer complaints efficiently and professionally, ensuring positive outcomes for all parties.
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and councils, ensuring alignment and timely project execution.
* Review, negotiate and approve trade rates, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
* Identify and address budget overruns early, implementing proactive strategies to keep projects on track, drive productivity and reduce delays.
* Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to optimise supply chain processes and ensure the availability of quality materials and trades.
* Foster a strong safety culture, ensuring all construction activities adhere to OHS regulations and best practices, ensuring compliance with all WHS procedures.

* Has strong construction supervision experience.
* Can demonstrate ability to lead and develop teams, fostering high engagement and performance.
* Possesses strong negotiation and problem‐solving skills, particularly in a construction environment.
* Exhibits proven conflict resolution and customer management skills.
* Has a comprehensive understanding of residential construction processes, regulations, and compliance.
* Is knowledgeable about WHS and safety management principles.
* Understands financial and budgetary controls in construction.
* Has strong leadership skills with ability to inspire and motivate teams.
* Exhibits excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
* Is resilient and adaptable, able to navigate challenges and drive continuous improvement.
* Is detail‐oriented and proactive, with strong problem‐solving capabilities.
