Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Launceston, TAS for a Broadcast Technician. The Broadcast Technician will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of broadcast equipment, including cameras, lighting, and audio systems. Key tasks include troubleshooting technical issues, ensuring optimal broadcast quality, and collaborating with production teams to execute live broadcasts. The Technician will also conduct regular equipment checks and perform necessary repairs to maintain the smooth operation of all broadcast infrastructure.
Qualifications
* Experience with setup, operation, and maintenance of broadcast equipment including cameras, lighting, and audio systems
* Technical troubleshooting and repair skills
* Knowledge of broadcast quality standards and compliance requirements
* Ability to work closely with production teams and execute live broadcasts
* Familiarity with relevant software and digital platforms used in broadcasting
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Effective communication and teamwork abilities
* Relevant technical qualification or degree in Broadcast Engineering, or related field
* Experience in a similar role within the broadcasting industry is advantageous
