About This Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join the UQ Poche Centre for Indigenous Health, based at the centrally located Toowong office, as a Research Translation and Impact Officer. This role leads the communication, industry partner engagement, and translation of research. In this role, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the visibility, reach and impact of the

program. You will work in close collaboration with industry partners, consumer representatives and advocacy groups to ensure service providers and consumers drive the program priorities and research approach for effective research translation.

As a highly visible representative of the research team, the Research Translation and Impact Officer will assist with capitalising on opportunities for competitive research grants and articulating the value of the research to drive investment in the research team. The key objective of this position will be to showcase the knowledge generated from the research and drive impacts with research next users. This will require building and maintaining effective and productive relationships with key audiences and stakeholders including community members, health professionals, health services, media, local business, non-government organisations and all levels government.

Key responsibilities will include:- Developing and maintaining relationships between researchers and knowledge users (including consumers, health professionals, health services, businesses, policy managers and community members), to the point where stakeholders understand the value in the research and knowledge users are actively involved in all phases of research and can act upon research outputs.- Assisting research lead with procurement, planning and monitoring project timelines and budgets throughout their lifecycle, making necessary adjustments to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.- Acting as the key liaison for engagement activities such as events, seminars, media, and other communication opportunities.- Developing, implementing, and evaluating strategies that enable the research team to translate technical information into persuasive narratives.- Managing internal stakeholder relationships and engagement, to sustain strong and effective networks across UQ and industry partners.- Creating, managing, maintaining, and evaluating the team's online outputs, including website, social media, and other forms of media.- Contributing to a positive team performance culture which may include activities such as mentoring, supervising and supporting emerging team members.

This is a full-time (100%), fixed-term position for up to 3 years.

At HEW level 7, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $93,254 - $101,680, plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $109,107 - $118,966 annually. As this role is covered by an Enterprise Agreement, you will also receive regular remuneration increases - at least once a year.

About You- An undergraduate degree in health, communications, marketing, social science, or other related field.- Demonstrated experience in planning, evaluating, and communicating impact activities and outcomes from research.- Advanced understanding of stakeholder engagement, relationship building, events and communication across multiple fora.- Experience developing, implementing, and evaluating strategies for research dissemination and translation.- Demonstrated leadership and initiative in improving processes that support a team.- Demonstrated ability to synthesise large amounts of information to distil key p
