As our highly valued Lifestyle Coordinator, you will enhance the wellbeing, independence, and quality of life of residents by coordinating a meaningful and engaging lifestyle program and overseeing the home's volunteer program to promote resident engagement and connection.
Responsibilities
* Deliver person‐centred lifestyle services that promote residents' physical, emotional, cultural, spiritual, cognitive and social wellbeing
* Build meaningful relationships with residents to understand their life history, preferences, strengths, goals and support needs
* Design, coordinate and implement an inclusive lifestyle program that reflects resident choice and aligns with the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards
* Maintain accurate documentation of resident participation, attendance, preferences and outcomes
* Conduct regular evaluations of the lifestyle program using resident feedback, surveys, observations, audits, quality indicators and participation data
* Coordinate the recruitment, selection, onboarding and ongoing support of volunteers
* Provide leadership, guidance and support to Lifestyle Assistants
Qualifications
* Certificate IV in Leisure and Health
* Minimum 12 months experience working within aged care, disability, community services or a related sector
* Demonstrated understanding of the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards and person‐centred care principles
* Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and electronic documentation systems
* Experience supporting older people and/or vulnerable individuals
* Strong interpersonal, communication, organisation and time‐management skills
* Ability to lead, coordinate and motivate staff and volunteers
* Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
* Experience in program planning, evaluation and quality improvement activities
* Driver's licence
* Valid NDIS Worker Screening clearance or willingness to obtain one
Preferred
* Degree level qualification in Leisure and Health, Community Services, Social Work or related field
* Certificate III in Aged Care
* Current First Aid certificate
* Experience coordinating volunteers or community engagement programs
