We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our team.

As part of our team, you will collaborate with others in the daily operation of the kitchen, including ingredient preparation, cooking, and maintaining food quality.Roles and Responsibilities:·Cooking to orders by applying different techniques·Preparing and seasoning a range of ingredients for various dishes·Following recipes and portion controls, and adjusting to customers' requirements where necessary·Monitoring cooking and refrigeration equipment temperatures·Checking the daily preparation list at the start of each shift to ensure ingredients and products are sufficient for service·Supporting the Head Chef in managing storage, procurement, and stock rotation to maintain food quality and minimize waste.
·Assisting in cleaning and organisation of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and storage area·Ensuring adherence to safety, hygiene, and food quality regulations and standards·Assisting the Head Chef in training kitchen staff and ensuring proper kitchen procedures are followed.Required Qualification and Experience·At least 2 years' experience as a Cook/Chef·Cert IV or above in cookeryRequired Knowledge and Skills·Experience with Japanese cuisine is essential·Proficiency in cutting and cooking techniques and principles·Strong abilities to work as a team member·Proactive, energetic and shares a passion for the hospitality industry·Possess effective communication skills
