Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Domestic and Family Violence Response Worker based in Charters Towers, QLD. The role involves providing crisis intervention and case management services to individuals and families affected by domestic and family violence. Responsibilities include developing support plans, liaising with service providers, advocating for clients, working collaboratively with stakeholders, and ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable individuals and families. The role also includes fostering community awareness and supporting preventative strategies related to domestic and family violence.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in Social Work and Family Services, particularly in domestic and family violence contexts.
* Expertise in Case Management, including the ability to develop and implement individual support plans.
* Experience in Working With Children, including understanding child protection frameworks and ensuring child safety.
* Strong Communication skills, including effective advocacy, interpersonal communication, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
* Understanding of community services, relevant legislation, and best practice approaches in domestic and family violence support.
* Relevant qualifications in Social Work, Community Services, Psychology, or a related field desirable
* Current Blue Card (or ability to obtain one) and a valid driver's license are required.
