As Maintenance Manager at Atura Dandenong, you'll be the driving force behind keeping our hotel safe, operational and in peak condition. Reporting to the General Manager (with a dotted line to the Regional Facilities Manager), you'll lead hands‐on maintenance across all hotel departments — interior and exterior — while managing contractors, budgets and compliance. You'll be the person our team counts on to keep everything running smoothly, efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver an effective maintenance service across all hotel departments, including hands‐on work and contractor management via the myBuildings work request system.
* Proactively identify improvement opportunities and implement preventative maintenance plans that are audited and reviewed annually.
* Ensure all plant, machinery, equipment and building systems operate at peak efficiency, in full compliance with OH&S, WHS and Australian Standards.
* Maintain the safety of guests and staff by keeping fire alarms, detection systems, hydrants, sprinklers and essential services fully operational at all times.
* Manage Repairs & Maintenance expenditure in line with approved budgets, and oversee all related accounts and procurement in line with EVT guidelines.
* Assist with the feasibility, planning and management of Capital Works projects as required.
* Manage key and card access security systems in line with company policy.
* Contribute to the annual R&M budget in conjunction with the General Manager, Financial Controller and Regional Facilities Manager.
* Champion WHS compliance — maintain safe plant rooms, clear egress paths and a tidy workshop; represent Maintenance on the WHS and Emergency Planning Committees.
* Review, update and deliver maintenance SOPs and emergency procedure training for hotel staff.

What You'll Bring

* Proven experience in a facilities or maintenance management role, ideally within hospitality, commercial property or a similarly complex built environment.
* Solid knowledge of building systems including HVAC, fire safety, electrical and mechanical services.
* Hands‐on trade background with the ability to both roll up your sleeves and effectively manage contractors.
* Demonstrated ability to manage R&M budgets and procurement processes.
* Strong understanding of WHS legislation and building compliance requirements.
* Experience with computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) — familiarity with myBuildings or similar is a plus.
* Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with hotel operations teams.
