**Maintenance Fitter - Bacon Stream**

Our Castlemaine based, state-of-the-art facility is the largest manufacturer in regional Victoria with approximately 1,300 team members.
**About The Role**
We currently have a number of vacancies for suitably qualified and experienced Maintenance Fitters on day and afternoon shift. You will join a highly motivated and experienced team who provide excellent, time critical service ensuring the reliability of the production equipment. This is a role that offers the chance to develop your troubleshooting and diagnostic skills on a range of state-of-the-art automated production machinery.
**We are currently looking for**:
1 x Day Shift
1 x Afternoon Shift
**Responsibilities include**:
The ideal applicants will be self-motivated and resourceful, with the capacity to work with mínimal supervision equally well as an individual or as part of a team, with a strong commitment to Health and Safety, with an emphasis on continuous improvement and reliability through the undertaking of planned and preventative maintenance activities. The successful applicants will ideally possess the following characteristics:
- Relevant trade qualifications
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment in the Food, Fast Moving Consumer Goods or Pharmaceutical industries is desirable.
- Understanding of preventative maintenance systems and techniques.
- Sound knowledge of high-speed packaging equipment, bearings, seals, shaft repair, conveying systems, etc.
- Knowledge of and experience with vacuum, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
- Customer focused and time conscious
