We are seeking a skilled Maintenance & Grounds Officer who is committed to maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of our facility through proactive maintenance and repair work.
Location: Zion Retirement Living, Gympie - QLD
Employment Type: Part-time (45 hrs fortnight)
Remuneration: $31.11/hour
About The Role
In this hands‐on role, you'll manage the day‐to‐day maintenance of buildings, gardens, and grounds, ensuring everything is safe, tidy, and well‐kept.
Key Responsibilities
* General maintenance and upkeep of lawns, gardens, and common areas
* Common area cleaning
* Performing scheduled preventative maintenance
* Identifying and reporting new risks while working to minimise existing ones
* Undertaking administrative tasks related to maintenance operations
* Managing external contractors and minor building projects
* Using equipment and materials safely and responsibly
* Your work will help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors
* Gardening experience essential
About You
* Experience in commercial maintenance and groundskeeping within an aged care setting or a similar environment
* Strong problem‐solving skills and attention to detail
* Ability to follow safety procedures and preventative maintenance schedules
* A team player with a proactive attitude and proven ability to demonstrate a customer service focus
* Valid Police Check or NDIS clearance and Queensland Driver's Licence
