About this Role
We are seeking a Staff Platform Engineer to lead the evolution of our traffic management capabilities. This role will shape strategy, define how we route secure and monitor traffic, and ensure our platform delivers stability, scalability, and a low-friction experience.
* Lead the design and operation of our traffic management capabilities from Cloudflare through to Kubernetes and AWS.
* Architect scalable, secure systems for traffic management with comprehensive network visibility.
* Build tools and frameworks that streamline deployment, monitoring, and developer workflows.
* Champion Infrastructure-as-Code practices and drive testing and automation across environments.
* Partner with Engineering, Security, and Architecture teams to align platform roadmaps with our technical strategy.

* Kubernetes (AWS EKS and Istio)
* Terraform, BuildKite, Helm, and ArgoCD
* Datadog, Splunk, and PagerDuty
* AWS services (Route53, IAM, load balancers, S3, Lambda, etc.)
* Cloudflare
Qualifications
* Platform engineering experience building and scaling distributed systems at enterprise scale.
* Kubernetes expertise, including architecture, high-availability clusters, and ecosystem tools, including Istio.
* Software engineering skills for building automation tooling, platform components, and self-service developer tools, including Kubernetes operators.
* Technical leadership experience driving architectural decisions and strategy across multi-team platforms.
* Infrastructure-as-Code mastery with Terraform, Helm, GitOps workflows, and CI/CD pipeline design.
* Excellent communication skills and a genuine preference for collaborative work.
* An innovative mindset and developer-first approach.
