Job Summary
As a Protection Engineer, you will play a critical role in the delivery of electrical and commissioning projects by providing specialist expertise in protection of system design, configuration, testing, and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, review, and implement protection schemes for high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) systems, including transmission, distribution, and industrial networks.
* Conduct protection coordination and grading studies, relay setting calculations, and fault studies using industry-standard software.
* Prepare protection and control drawings, logic diagrams, and settings documentation.
* Perform factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), and commissioning of protection and control systems.
* Diagnose and rectify protection-related issues during construction and commissioning phases.
Requirements:
* Electrical Engineering Degree.
* Experienced in testing and commissioning of Distribution and Transmission voltage levels.
* Competent in the suite of Omicron, Doble and Megger Test Equipment.
* Good communicator who is confident to be client-facing and able to work independently.
