Disability Support Practitioner
Location: Croudace Bay, NSW, Australia (travel required across Newcastle & Hunter region). Role type: Casual with pathway to permanent part‑time.
About the role: Provide community‑based one‑on‑one support to clients with cerebral palsy. Deliver personal care, medication management, manual handling, support independence, community participation, and transport services. Expect to travel using own vehicle.
Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised support including personal care, medication administration, and manual handling.
- Enable clients to make their own choices and develop independence.
- Encourage clients to engage in the community and build positive relationships.
- Transport clients in own vehicle where required.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Professional Behaviour Support experience or lived experience preferred; can‑do attitude essential.
- Embodies CPA values (passionate, respectful, ethical, curious, courageous).
- Client‑focused care approach with drive to impact lives of people with disabilities.
- Minimum availability 2–3 weekdays and one weekend day; shift hours 7 am‑10 pm.
- Current NSW Driver’s Licence (P2 minimum).
- Comfortable travelling across listed locations.
