Stone Benchtop Trades Assistant / Machine Operator
WA Prestige Cabinets is seeking a reliable and motivated Stone Benchtop Trades Assistant / Machine Operator to join our growing team. We are looking for someone interested in CNC machinery and bridge saw operations, with a willingness to learn and grow within the stone industry.

About the Role
As a Stone Benchtop Trades Assistant / Machine Operator, you will assist with operating bridge saw and CNC machinery, supporting factory production and helping maintain workflow efficiency and quality standards. Training will be provided in the factory on our systems and workflow. This role is suited to someone with experience in the stone industry who is confident using computers, learning machinery systems and working within a team environment.
This role will also involve assisting with polishing, finishing, waterfall preparation and general factory production work alongside another experienced stonemason. This position is designed to work as part of a team, where tasks and finishing work will be coordinated together to maintain production quality and workflow efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
* Assisting with operating CNC machinery and bridge saw equipment
* Learning and following factory production systems and workflows
* Loading, handling and preparing stone materials for production
* Assisting with polishing, finishing and quality control of stone products
* Supporting the factory team to maintain efficient workflow and production standards
* Working collaboratively with the wider team while also being able to work autonomously
* Following workplace health and safety procedures at all times
Skills & Experience
To be considered for this position, you will have:
* Experience working within the stone industry preferred
* Basic understanding of machinery, factory equipment or CNC operations
* Confidence using computers and learning machine software systems
* Experience with polishing or stone finishing work is an advantage
* A reliable, professional and hard‐working attitude
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Leadership or supervisory experience is an advantage, but not essential
* A current driver's licence
* Forklift licence preferred, but not essential
* A strong commitment to quality workmanship and safe work practices
