Overview
Gemco Rails is seeking a Trades Assistant to join our Karratha site. You will provide assistance to trade staff in maintenance, manufacture and refurbishment of associated rail rolling stock, in accordance with the established procedures and protocols, Rail Safety and OH&S regulations, contributing to a secure and efficient rail network. This role will report to Karratha Site Supervisor.

What We're Looking For

* Commitment to safety and teamwork
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* Ability to meet Rail Safety Worker Category 3 fitness standards
* Proven experience working with rolling stock and railway equipment
* Strong understanding of Occupational Health & Safety regulations and commitment to secure work practices
* Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document inspections and interact confidently across teams
* Well-developed organisational skills to manage tasks efficiently in a dynamic environment
* Hold a High‐Risk Work Licence
* Completion of all required paperwork in a diligent, accurate and timely manner
