Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Worker to join our team at Residency by Dillons.
The ideal candidate will provide care and support to residents in accordance with their individual needs, ensuring a high level of quality service delivery. They will work closely with the Registered Nurse to read and follow each resident's care plan, recognizing and reporting any changes in health status.
The successful applicant will administer medication safely and correctly, assist residents to maintain their independence, and encourage them to participate in various life experiences. They will also respect residents' rights to make informed choices about their healthcare requirements and residency.
In addition, they will be responsible for maintaining a safe environment for staff and residents, identifying and reporting potential or actual hazards to the Registered Nurse.
Requirements
* Certificate III in Aged Care and/or equivalent qualification is essential.
* The successful applicant must demonstrate a genuine desire to care for frail aged people.
* Able to communicate effectively in written and oral English.
* Current flu and Covid vaccination record highly regarded.
* Willingness to obtain a Police Clearance Certificate.
* Ability to work a variety of shifts, including day and night shifts.
