Overview
Qualified Diesel Mechanic – Townsville
We are seeking an experienced diesel mechanic to join the workshop team at our Townsville Branch. You will provide support by ensuring the prompt service, repair and maintenance of our equipment in the workshop.
Responsibilities
* Scheduled maintenance on a wide variety of equipment including Earthmoving equipment, EWPs, Generators, Small petrol/diesel/electric plant and more
* Equipment diagnosis and repair
* On-site breakdown service
* Rotating on-call service roster
Qualifications
* Proven mechanical troubleshooting acumen
* Mechanical trade qualification Cert III or equivalent in a mechanical trade
* Current driver's licence
* Experience with diesel and petrol engines on industrial equipment
* Adhere to a high level of safe work culture within the company
* Forklift licence advantageous but not mandatory
* Experience with compaction and earthmoving equipment (0–25 tons) desirable but not mandatory
* Experience with EWP and forklifts desirable but not mandatory
* Excellent communication skills, team spirit and strong customer focus
* Well-presented
