Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Vintage Laboratory Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests and analyses of juice and wine according to established procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough testing of all juices and wines to ensure they meet quality standards
* Accurately record data and assist with transcription and checking of analysis
* Maintain laboratory equipment in good working order through regular maintenance and calibration
* Assist with vintage cellar operations, including grape reception, crushing, fermentation activities, barrel work and juice or wine transfers
* Record important data on log sheets or cellar notes
* Ensure the laboratory and winery areas remain clean, hygienic and well-organized at all times
* Follow direction from experienced laboratory and cellar staff to guarantee efficient and safe operation of laboratory and cellar processes
Requirements:
* Degree in a relevant field such as chemistry, biology or related discipline
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
