Job Overview
At Thales, we are seeking a seasoned mechanical maintenance professional to conduct fault diagnosis, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement activities across plant and equipment.
Responsibilities
* Carry out fault diagnosis, preventative maintenance and continuous improvement activities across plant and equipment.
* Perform equipment repairs, overhauls, testing and installations.
* Read and interpret technical drawings and sketches while working to scheduled maintenance plans.
* Conduct risk assessments and identify underperforming equipment for further investigation and improvement.
* Provide technical support and guidance to contractors, while maintaining regular communication with the Mechanical Maintenance Team Leader and Maintenance Manager.
Required Experience & Qualifications
* Trade qualified as a Fitter and Machinist or equivalent.
* Strong fault‐finding, diagnostic and troubleshooting capabilities.
* Hands‐on experience working with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
* Proven machining experience and strong mechanical aptitude.
* Must be an Australian citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence security clearance.
