This state-of-the-art facility is the first of its kind in Australia. The plant repurposes manure to supply sustainable, industry leading products to all types of Australian farms.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Foreperson (Fertiliser Plant) you will be responsible for providing operational leadership and supervision for Fertiliser Operations to ensure that operations are efficient, sustainable and conducted safely. To achieve this, you will:
* Maintain adequate staff levels and skill levels to perform required responsibilities by monitoring employee productivity, safety and operational compliance, identifying training needs, and providing feedback
* Managing production start-ups, shutdowns, and changeovers to meet shift production goals and to ensure operations are running at optimal levels, with minimal downtime.
* Managing shift scheduling, rotations, breaks and overtime to ensure business efficiency and high-quality production output.
* Undertaking quality control, identifying and adjusting as necessary during the shift to produce product within the specifications.
* Measuring key operational performance indicators.
* Promoting continuous improvement in production and operational standards and procedures.
* Ensure traceability is maintained throughout the entire process.
ABOUT YOU
The key criteria for the position are:
* Experience in a production/manufacturing role.
* Demonstrated skills and knowledge in modern process and production methodologies including materials handling, Food Safety, Quality Assurance, HACCP Protocols, FMCG and GMP principles.
* Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a team to achieve high operational performance.
* Advanced communication and leadership skills, with an ability to gain the respect and confidence of others.
* Demonstrated computer literacy, record keeping and data processing skills.
* Advanced organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
* The ability to assess and articulate improvement requirements.
* Ability to remains level-headed under pressure and exercise good judgement to make timely practical and effective decisions.
