About the role
We are now searching for an Area Manager with a background in cabinet making and the kitchen industry to join our Western Australia Sales Team. Reporting to the Western Australia State Sales Manager, your primary purpose is to leverage your trade knowledge to plan and carry out sales activities, ensuring Blum's premium hardware solutions are technically specified to the aligned market. This includes major accounts and specifiers, in accordance with agreed business plans.
To succeed in this role, you will:
* Be motivated, organised and willing to learn.
* Plan and carry out regular call cycle to maintain, develop and secure market share.
* Maintain existing customers and develop new customers through planned individual account support and liaison with cabinet maker, joiners and kitchen manufacturers through expert technical support and account management.
* Maintain regular communication with our Distributor's Area Managers and Territory Managers.
* Plan and carry out sales activities to key manufacturers, kitchen retailers, showrooms, and the general manufacturing industry.
* Respond to and follow up on sales enquiries by email, telephone and personal visits in a prompt and efficient manner. Document interaction as per Blum's internal processes.
* Train and present our product solutions to manufacturers, kitchen retailers, showrooms and the general manufacturing industry.
* Data entry and maintenance of a Customer Management Tool.
* Promoting and representing Blum at trade events and regional shows as necessary.
* Work autonomously, while maintaining a high level of communication to the State Sales Manager.

Your skills and experiences should include:
* Proven experience or background within the kitchen manufacturing, joinery or cabinet making industry.
* An understanding of kitchen construction, and the needs of cabinet makers.
* Customer service focused, a people's person.
* Enthusiastic, self‐motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
* Well‐developed inter‐personal skills and adept negotiating skills tailored to trade clients.
* Highly organised with exceptional time management and technical problem‐solving skills on the field.
* Effective verbal, written, presentation and listening communications skills.
* Experience in a sales environment desired, but exposure to the industry is highly considered.
* Proven track record of portraying and maintaining excellent company, and personal presentation standards.
* A valid full Australian driver licence is essential.
While this role is based at our Western Australia showroom, the role will require you to frequently travel within the assigned territory and from time to time, travel to Sydney for conferences.
