Downer has been awarded a major Integrated Facilities Management contract with Stockland, delivering services across a national portfolio of commercial offices, retail centres, logistics facilities and land lease communities. This long‐term partnership reflects Downer's strength in managing large, complex portfolios and delivering high‐quality services at scale. We currently have an opportunity for an experienced and qualified HVAC Technician to join our workforce and play a key role in supporting the effective and efficient management of properties across Stocklands national portfolio, located in Rockhampton Town Centre. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you'll help deliver high‐quality outcomes for our client and our communities.
What You'll Do
* Servicing, maintenance, and repairs on air conditioning, heating, and ventilation systems across a shopping centre environment
* Diagnose faults and carry out timely repairs to ensure minimal disruption
* Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to maintain system efficiency and reliability
* Install and commission split systems, ducted air conditioning, and ventilation equipment as required
* Monitor and maintain indoor air quality and temperature control to support resident wellbeing
* Ensure all work complies with Australian standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements (including refrigerant handling)
What You'll Bring
* Current Refrigerant Handling Licence (RHL) issued by Australian Refrigeration Council (ARCtick Licence)
* Electrical Work Licence (Restricted or Full)
* Proven experience in servicing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning and refrigeration systems
* Demonstrated fault‐finding and diagnostic experience across split, ducted, and commercial HVAC systems
* Experience carrying out preventative maintenance and routine inspections
* Background working in residential, commercial, or community environments
* Experience with installation and commissioning of HVAC systems (desirable)
* Prepared to undertake necessary pre‐employment checks including National Police Check and medical
* Must have Working with Childrens check or willing to obtain one
