As a
State Manager,
you will lead the sales and customer service strategy for Go Study Australia in
Brisbane
, driving growth while ensuring exceptional support for international students. Together with your team, you will provide expert advice and guidance to students, promoting and selling courses and services that enable their successful studies in Australia.
In this role, you will spearhead various business development initiatives, marketing campaigns, and engagement activities, while also focusing on achieving your own sales targets. Supported by a global team of marketing and sales experts, you will collaborate closely with our offshore and interstate offices to ensure cohesive operations.

Position Objectives:
* Manage, train, and mentor the sales team to achieve revenue targets, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring continuous professional development.
* Support the marketing team in developing and executing an effective engagement plan to drive increased sales and student enrollments.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with partner schools and colleges, ensuring mutually beneficial collaborations and opportunities for growth.
* Ensure exceptional customer service for all students, delivering personalised support and ensuring a seamless experience from initial inquiry to enrollment.

Sales & Management Responsibilities:
* Achieve Sales Targets
: Ensure both your own and your team's sales targets are consistently met, aligning with budgeted projections on a monthly basis.
* Develop Retention Strategies:
Collaborate with the Country Manager to create and implement effective student retention strategies that enhance customer loyalty and long-term engagement.
* Sell Courses & Products
: Promote and sell courses and Go Study Australia (GSA) products to students seeking to study or extend their stay in Australia, representing our partner colleges and institutions.
* Manage Student and Lead Communication
: Ensure the team promptly responds to all incoming emails and manages students and leads according to our Students and Leads Management Guidelines, maintaining high standards of service and responsiveness.
* Prepare Sales Reports
: Compile and analyze sales figures, reports, and forecasts to track performance and manage team targets effectively.
* Generate Leads
: Drive lead generation through events, social networking activities, and other initiatives that expand the student base and enhance brand visibility.
* Provide Market Intelligence
: Support offshore offices by offering market intelligence, insights, and student support to align global strategies and meet regional needs.
* Policy Compliance
: Ensure the team adheres to all Internal Policies and Procedures issued by senior management, including but not limited to Onshore Internal Policies and Procedures.
* Team Training
: Ensure the team is fully trained on key topics such as school information, visa regulations, and other critical aspects of international education
* Sales Staff Management
: Hire, train, support, and develop the sales team, focusing on professional growth and performance improvement.
* Team Management
: Oversee team management, including scheduling, payroll timesheet reporting, and personal development planning.
* Manage partnerships
with local providers by building and maintaining strong relationships with partner schools, colleges, accommodation providers, migration services, and other key collaborators to ensure mutually beneficial collaborations, enhance service quality, and drive opportunities for growth.
Customer Service and Marketing:
* Drive Marketing Initiatives
: Plan and execute marketing initiatives, including events, business partnerships, and online activities, to increase student enrollments and grow the business.
* Content Production
: Collaborate with the marketing team to produce visual content (videos, photos, infographics) that shares student success stories and generates new leads.
* Student Service Management
: Oversee the effective management of student services, providing support for Go Study students upon their arrival in Australia, covering:
* Orientation and arrival processes
* Job search assistance
* General information and support
* Ensuring high-quality service for all students at all times
* Student Support
: Assist students with accommodation, employment, and general welfare needs, ensuring their well-being during their stay.
* Customer Service Excellence:
Maintain professionalism and provide excellent customer service in all activities, ensuring students and partners have a positive experience.
Admin/Staff Responsibilities:
* Main Point of Contac
t: Serve as the primary liaison between your office, senior management, and other key stakeholders, managing office-related issues and ensuring smooth communication.
* Document Translation & Interpretation
: Translate and interpret documents, scripts, and other materials as needed to support communication and clarity.
* Visa Applications
: Provide clerical assistance to students in completing applications for student visas, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Support for Offshore Branches
: Offer full support to offshore offices, aligning communication and strategies and assisting in problem-solving.
* CRM Management
: Ensure the team accurately and efficiently maintains CRM data, adhering to company protocols to enhance data management and communication.
* Confidentiality
: Uphold strict confidentiality regarding all student data, including personal, financial, and other sensitive information.
* Reporting & Analysis
: Provide reports and market analysis as requested by management, offering insights to support decision making.
* Compliance with the ESOS Act
: Ensure all activities comply with the guidelines detailed in the ESOS Act, protecting the rights of international students.
* OSHC & Other Providers Sales
: Promote and sell the company's preferred OSHC (Overseas Student Health Cover) and Commonwealth Bank accounts where possible, contributing to the company's service offerings.
* Adherence to Guidelines
: Follow all company guidelines and NextEd policies, ensuring consistency and integrity in all operations.
Accountabilities and Performance Measures

As a State Manager, you will guide and support your team in achieving their sales targets, which are aligned with the NextEd budget cycle. In addition to driving sales performance, you will be responsible for maintaining or improving key performance indicators, including:
* Lead-to-Sales Conversions
: Ensure a steady or increasing conversion rate of leads to successful enrollments by optimizing your team's sales approach.
* Student Support and Service Excellence
: Maintain outstanding levels of student support and service, ensuring that both students and partner colleges are satisfied with the experience and services provided.
* Referrals, Online Recommendations, and Retention
: Focus on consistently increasing student referrals, positive online recommendations, and student retention rates by fostering a supportive and engaging environment that encourages long-term relationships.
* Student Community Growth
: Foster the expansion of the student community, supporting the success of Go Study Australia and enhancing its reputation in the industry.
Your leadership will be essential in driving both sales growth and high-quality service, ensuring that Go Study Australia remains a top choice for international students and partners.
Environmental Requirements:
This position is primarily office-based but will require attendance at various student engagement activities outside of standard office hours. Your involvement in these activities is essential to building strong relationships with students, supporting their experience, and contributing to the overall success of Go Study Australia's initiatives.

Reporting Lines:
You will report directly to the Onshore Sales Manager of Go Study Australia and work closely with the onshore State Managers. Collaboration and effective communication with the leadership team will be essential to ensure alignment with company goals and strategies, as well as to support the ongoing success and growth of the business in Brisbane.
